Apple-and-pear Gruyère mini tarts

An unexpected combination that just makes sense when you try it. The sweetness of the apples and pears pairs very well with the nutty and salty Gruyère cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 6 T Woolworths Onion Marmalade
  • 200 g Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 2 pears, sliced

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Cut each sheet of pastry into 6 equal-sized squares. Create 3 evenly spaced, horizontal slits in one half of the squares.
  3. Top the pastry halves without slits with ½ T onion jam, 4 slices of fruit and a sprinkle of Gruyère.
  4. Seal by folding the slits over the toppings and pressing the edges together. Bake until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly and serve.
